Very much hope you have been enjoying this glorious summer weather.  Just perfect for outdoor festivals!  So, let's hope the sunshine holds for the welcome return of Protect the Beat to The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells on Thursday 15th August!  Always a great night whatever the weather, so hope you can join us.
Monday 26th August sees my acoustic quartet (with the A team of Dave Newton, Geoff Gascoyne and Sebastiaan de Krom) at Bexley Jazz Club.
Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th August - with the current closure of the Bulls Head, Barnes, I have organised two nights at THE PHEASANTRY, SW3 (which is about 4 miles away).  Protect the Beat will be there on Tuesday 27th ( and, on Wednesday 28th, it will be my Acoustic Quartet (again with the stellar line-up of Dave, Geoff and Seb - I have kept the ticket price to the same as The Bulls Head (£10) and all the money will go to the band so, if you are missing the nights in Barnes, please come and support these gigs.  It would be great to see you!
Many thanks to all of you who voted for me in the British Jazz Awards this year.  I came in at number 4 after the respected names of Alan Barnes, Nigel Hitchcock and Peter King.  Always an honour to be nominated!
As always, best wishes to all and hope to see you at a gig again soon
